Terry Richardson (B.Com, DFS, CPA)

Director / Senior Accountant

Terry has over 20 years’ experience working in the Accounting Profession and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Tax Agent Certificate, Diploma in Financial Services and is a Fellow of the Certified Practicing Accountants. Terry’s specialties include franchise, investment, and commercial and residential property. He consults with business and individual clients in the areas of tax and strategic planning and has a wide range of accounting experience which enables him to provide relevant and timely advice.

Alastair Scanlon (M.Com, FIPA)


Alastair has over 20 years’ experience in the accounting profession. Alastair holds a Master of Commerce as well as a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants and has been a registered tax agent in his own right since 1998. Alastair is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, an invitation only honours organization that recognizes academic excellence.

Scott Knuckey (B.Com, CPA)


Scott graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2006 with a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and public practising certificate holder. Scott specialises in taxation, corporate tax compliance and strategic planning with clients that range from individuals to small and medium enterprises both within the Tasmanian community and abroad.

Kira Rowe (B.Com, GDipFP, CPA)


Kira has been in the industry since 2008 and has experience working both the Accounting and Financial Planning Professions. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce along with a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, and Certified Practicing Accountant designation.

Kristian Riley (B.Com (Acc), CPA)


After starting his working life in small business administration Kristian made the move into accounting in 1998. He continued to work while completing his study with Deakin University and CPA Australia. After 20 years Kristian specialises in small to medium business and gains the most satisfaction from understanding the clients and helping them to achieve their goals through the development of strong relationships and open communication.

Georgie Perri


Georgie started in the accounting industry in 2018, and is currently working towards completing her Bachelor of Business at the University of Tasmania. She has a passion for helping small businesses to grow, through working with clients to better understand their accounting work and financial position. Georgie has experience working particularly with hospitality businesses, after working within the industry herself for over 6 years.

Hayden Collins


Hayden joined the Scanlon Richardson Team in 2019 having previously worked in the accounting and finance sector of the construction industry for the past 5 years. Hayden’s focus on professional development, along with his enthusiasm and positive attitude is well received by clients who which he enjoys working closely with to understand what drives them to succeed in their areas of expertise.

Matthew Dix


Matthew was born in Bath, England and studied Business Management at Solent University, Southampton. He moved to Hobart in 2017 after spending the previous 12 years living in London. Before making the decision to change career and train up to be an accountant, Matt had spent 6 years working in the non-profit industry as a manager in a registered charity.

Stuart Wheeler (B.Acc, B.App Sc)


Stuart has recently relocated to Hobart from Cowra in NSW with his wife and two children. Stuart studied Accounting and Applied Science at Charles Sturt University and has worked in agriculture, horticulture and irrigation before becoming an accountant. Stuart has vast experience in all areas of taxation and business management.

Lucy Clark


Lucy joined the team at Scanlon Richardson in 2017 as a Client Services Manager. Lucy has a strong background in bookkeeping, with vast experience using the latest cloud-based accounting software. She has previously worked with small to medium businesses across different industries and is passionate about delivering quality bookkeeping services to our clients.

Shannon Webb (Dip FP)


Shannon is our superannuation superhero – basically anything she doesn’t know about dealing with self managed superannuation annual returns and financial statements probably isn’t worth knowing! She has comprehensive experience gained from over 15 years working in the area and her Diploma of Financial Planning enables her to tackle even the most complex superannuation questions and issues. Her thoroughness, attention to detail and analytical skills are highly prized.

Jarryd Foye (B.Bus)


Jarryd has been working in the accounting industry for 3 years and has studied both business and economics at the University of Tasmania. He’s had experience with SMEs and is progressing towards attaining a Certified Practising Accounting (CPA) qualification.

Peter Siejka (B.Bus (Acc))


Peter has been working in the accounting industry for 3 years and has completed a double bachelor’s degree of Accounting and Finance from the University of Tasmania. Peter has had experience in advisory, tax & SME’s. He is currently working towards attaining his Chartered Accountants license (CA).

Andrew Clifford


Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the accounting profession. He holds a Batchelor of Commerce as well as CPA and Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants. Prior to joining Scanlon Richardson he was Managing Director of Abacus Accounting & Tax for over 23 years. Andrew specialises in providing personalised service and building close relationships with his clients.

Ryan Brazendale (B.Bus)


Ryan has worked in the accounting industry since 2016 whilst completing his Bachelor of Business at the University of Tasmania. He is currently working towards attaining his CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) qualification. Ryan is passionate about delivering positive outcomes for clients, with a specialisation in SME compliance. He also has experience with a wide range of accounting software and is able to assist with payroll, tax and reconciliation issues.

Jacob Downham (B.Bus)


Jacob graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting. After graduating University, he worked at Abacus Accounting, before joining the Scanlon Richardson team through a merger. Jacob has a passion for seeing local businesses strive, coming from a family of small business owners and having worked in the retail industry for over 5 years. He has a keen interest in rural and agricultural small business having grown up on his father’s farm.

Cory Bellchambers (B.Bus, B.Sc, CA)

Senior Accountant

Cory completed a Bachelor of Business in 2008 at the University of Tasmania, subsequently becoming a Chartered Accountant and a Registered Tax Agent. Cory has experience working with clients from a wide variety of backgrounds and industries. Cory enjoys using his strong tax technical skills and business advisory experience to work proactively with personal tax and small to medium business clients to deliver valued service, advice and solutions that move them closer to their personal and business goals.

Carol Muhling (B.ACC, CA)

Senior Accountant

Carol has over 20 years experience in tax and accounting. She has a Bachelor of Accounting and is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ.
Carol works to develop strong long-term relationships with clients and strives to provide support and advice in a way that is easily understood.
Specialising in working with small business clients in all areas of tax, accounting and business advisory with experience across a wide range of industries.


Lauren Ransley

Client Services Manager

Lauren’s cheerful disposition and strong customer service background means she is serious about providing timely assistance and helpful solutions to our clients, but always finds a moment within her fast-paced role for a friendly word with our regulars.

With a degree in Humanities, expertise in small business management, and years of clerical and administrative experience acquired working in the public service and finance industry, Lauren’s broad skill set makes her an important part of our client services team.

Tracey Blacklow

Client Services Manager

Tracey joined Scanlon Richardson Financial Group in June 2018 as one of our Client Service Managers. With a strong background in finance and professional services, Tracey is well placed to assist our accounting team deliver the highest quality service to our clients.

Having previously worked for a major bank as well as in the corporate sector, she brings a variety of skills and experience to our firm.

Bridgette Banks

Client Services Manager

Bridgette joined the Scanlon Richardson team at the beginning of June 2020 as a Client Services Manager after previously working for several years in administration and marketing, providing support to small and medium businesses. Prior to that, Bridgette completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Tasmania majoring in Computer Science and earning a place on the Dean’s Honour Roll. In her spare time, Bridgette likes to collect indoor plants and work on sewing projects.

Anna Brearley

Client Services Manager

Anna joined the team in August 2018 after travelling around Australia for two years. She has previously worked in client services / administration roles in the accounting industry and we are now fortunate that she has joined us as part of our reception and administration hub. Make sure you ask her about her travels when you come in to the office!

Caralyn Walker

Client Services Manager

Caralyn has recently joined the Scanlon Richardson team after previously working in the accounting and taxation industry for many years. With her warm and welcoming personality, she brings a cheerful presence to the reception desk. In her spare time, she likes to raise money, awareness and devotes her time to a local cat rescue organization in the Hobart community.
